Is there a private AI search for my Mac that does not upload my files?
Yes. Trawl runs its AI model, photo recognition and speech transcription on your Mac. Your files, photos, recordings and clipboard never leave it. Even the AI ranking runs on your Mac, the app sends no usage data, and a built-in Network log lists every connection it makes.
The built-in way (free)
- Spotlight is local but matches words, not meaning.
With Trawl
- Works offline after setup.
- Open Account → Network log to see that searching never goes online.
Describe it. Trawl finds it.
Files, photos, recordings, every browser and your clipboard, searched by meaning on your Mac. Your day, hour by hour. Nothing uploaded.
